When viewing or creating any record it is possible to filter the fields displayed. When, for example, viewing or creating a contract record, you can restrict the view to show only those fields that are mandatory.
When the * icon is selected only those fields that are mandatory to be filled out will be displayed.
This can be handy when wanting to quickly create, for example, a new party or contract, and you only want to fill out the minimum number of fields required.
Please note: If the record has no mandatory fields for the user to fill out this feature will not be offered.
Disabling The Filter Field Option
Admins are able to disable this new option for all users if this feature is not required. To disable:
- Navigate to Configuration - General Configuration - Manage Account Configuration
- Choose "No" for the option "Allow mandatory fields to be filtered "
