intelligentcontract offers a feature that facilitates advanced reporting. External Data Reporting (EDR) provides the data from your intelligentcontract in a reportable format located on an external database that can be accessed from a device that has an internet connection.
The intelligentcontract internal reporting tool can be used for simple reporting but where graphical reports or reports of a complex nature are required, then using an external reporting tool is recommended.
Which Reporting Tools Can I Use?
You are free to use any reporting tool of your choice. It is advisable to choose a reporting tool that is already in use within your organization – existing reporting skills within your organization can then be utilized.
Be sure that the tool that is chosen can connect to a MYSQL database source located in a remote/cloud location. Please check that this and other restrictions are met for your chosen reporting tool.
We Don’t Have a Reporting Tool in Use in our Organization. Which Reporting Tool Should I Use?
If there is no reporting tool currently utilized within your organization, then you may consider using “Zoho Analytics” (https://www.zoho.com/analytics/). As of May 2021, This tool is free to use up to 10,000 rows of data, 2 users, and is simple to use.
Please note:
- intelligencontract/Cloud9 Software is not able to acquire an account on your behalf. You must register for an account directly with Zoho Analytics.
- As of May 2021 this tool is a suitable reporting tool to connect to intelligentcontract EDR, but this may not be the case in the future. The responsibility for the reporting tool choice and its suitability is yours.
- The Free version of Zoho analytics supports up to 2 users and 10,000 rows of reportable data. There may be other restrictions in place now and introduced later over which intelligentcontract/Cloud9 Software has no control. It is your responsibility to confirm that this tool is suitable for your needs, now and in the future.
- A paid-for version of this tool exists which removes these restrictions and others. Please contact Zoho analytics directly for details of costs and restrictions.
Can I get support for EDR?
intelligentcontract support can support the EDR plugin. Specifically, this involves installing the plugin, describing the data schema and ensuring your account data is pulled correctly from intelligentcontract.
We are not able to support the development of reports in your chosen external reporting tool. If you do require support for connecting the tool to the EDR tables, or how to develop specific reports, the reporting tool vendor will be able to provide this support directly.
