Tasks can be created either for a specific Contract, Person or Party, these can be specific Tasks or a prompt for a action to be performed. Created Tasks trigger an email notification message to nominated people to action.



Creating a Task

Tasks can be created via the option within the Navigation bar:

  • Navigate to Tasks
  • Press [New], you will be presented with the Task form

Complete the Task details, optionally linking it to either a existing or new Contract or Party and assign the relevant people to be notified. 


Creating an Task within a specific record (Contract / People / Party)


If you are updating an existing record i.e. Contract:

  • Navigate to Contracts 
  • Find the specific Contract record and open
  • Scroll to the bottom of the form to the sub tabs, select the Task tab
  • Press [New], you will be presented with the Create Task form with the Contract link already present
  • Complete as detailed above

Tip - If you are using the Lists feature, you can add multiple People records in one action to a Contract record by applying an existing List.

If you are using the Automation feature and a valid Automation Rule applies to your Contract record then once you have saved all your People links will be automatically created with their specified Roles.

Processing a Task

Each person linked to the Tasks will receive an email with the Task information for them to action, the email contains information regarding the Task and a Link to view the Task details in intelligentcontract.  People added can only be Users of intelligentcontract.

The Navigation panel will display if there are any Tasks that require the logged in Users attention, by clicking on the red circle the Task summary screen will open up displaying the view for 'Tasks assigned to me'.

Whilst within a Contract you can view all the Tasks associated to it via the sub tab 'Tasks', the Task can be processed using the [...] More Actions button options, note that the button is not displayed until you place your mouse in the column.

  • Navigate to the Contract option and open up the relevant Contract record
  • Scroll to the bottom of the form and select the Task tab
  • Either, open up the Task record to review and action
  • Or, use the mouse to hover over the Action column
  • Click and choose a relevant option


Additionally you can view and process all Tasks across the whole of your Contracts via the Task Summary screen.

  • Navigate to the Tasks option and find the relevant Task record
  • Either, open up the Task record to review and action
  • Or, use the mouse to hover over the Action column
  • Click and choose a relevant option

TIP: Any Task that is assigned and overdue will be highlighted in red.
